As the short-sighted GOP legislators in North Carolina continue to dismantle public education and undervalue teachers, I carry on my fight to advocate for public schools. I spend a lot of time in schools and with kids. Volunteering in my son’s classroom is the highlight of my week. You might say that my week leaves a lot to be desired. I see this as a privilege. I gain special insight into the minds of our youth, my own son included. I see firsthand the rich thinking and tinkering our teachers encourage and inspire. Children amaze me.
One of my favorite things has been working on students with their writing. I’ve seen some of these children since they were six years old just learning how to craft a sentence. Now heading into fifth grade, I see their ideas blossom. I’m delighted to share the words of some of the students I have worked with this past year. These kids have moxie for sure. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish next year.

Wouldn’t it be sad if you grandmother couldn’t come to your party because she’s is sick from smoking.
When you smoke you can get lung cancer. Cigarette smoke contains over 7,000 chemical. Some people don’t throw their cigarette butts or their boxes away they just throw it on the ground which is could littering that’s why the earth is full of trash on it. Cigarettes are not biodegradable.
Cigarettes waste money. They cost 6.50 a pack. And all my uncle does is waste his money. When he can be buying useful stuff like food a bicycle.
Please don’t smoke.

I know that kids don’t bully for fun! They bully for a reason and that still doesn’t mean you still bully.
NO BULLYING
Some people bully because a family member died and that makes them feel sad. At my old school there was this girl who was bullying a first grader. The only reason she was doing that it’s because her mom and dad separated so she lives with her mom. She missed her dad.
There’s no bullying allowed. People who are bullying needs to stop because you do not know how it feels to get bulled. Don’t do it! Cyber bullying is the same thing as bullying, but once you start it. It can never end unless you stop. A cyber bully can cause his victim to kill themselves.
Once I watched this movie with cyber bullying in it and the girl almost killed herself so never try to cyber bully. If you get cyber bulled make it stop! Stand up for yourself! But don’t go back and bully them too! You can get expelled or suspended and it’s not fun because you miss out on the new things your class is learning. Then you go back and you have a whole lot of work to do and its going to be hard because you wasn’t there to learn about it.
Do not bully it’s not fun. It heart’s other people you can get expelled or suspended and that’s not fun.

I can name 3 different types of bullying and here is my first one. Once someone starts to bully, it WILL become a habit. You might very well be “that guy” that no one wants to play with. Bullying can also lead to rioting. Rioting is somewhat like vandalism because you are doing things you shouldn’t be doing to other people’s things. I was walking into my mom’s room and I oversaw a riot in Baltimore involved 2,000 police officers and over 160 arrests!
Last but not least we have the outrageous, CYBER BULLYING! I have been cyber bullied before. Cyber bullying is bullying on some sort of technology. The worst thing about cyber bullies is that they DO NOT STOP!
Bullying is wrong! It has to stop instant!

Hunting is bad, period. Why? Well, maybe you should read this instead of going out to kill a deer for fun. Hunting is really just not right.
First of all, rugs don’t need to actually be animals. Animals hate being stepped on, like my cat that attacked me after I stepped on her tail!
Also, some meats are practically tasteless. For example, raw yellowtail pretty much has no taste at all without the seaweed and rice.
Thirdly, there are more foods in the world rather than meats. Unsalted peanuts contain lots of protein, and anyway, meat is quite unhealthy.
Last, meat is expensive and can be poisoned if not cooked properly, so why go through all of the trouble?
Hunting is bad and needs to be stopped. Will you help?
