I think it’s only fair to rattle off a list of things I like. I did, after all, complain about stuff I just don’t like earlier in the week. I’m nothing if not fair and balanced, so here goes. These are things that bemuse me or make me go mmmmmm….
The library — Lordy, I do love me a public library. All those books. For FREE.
Pencil skirts – I can’t get enough.
Neil Diamond – I’ve seen him concert 8 times. Don’t judge. Save the judging for the 3 times I saw Barry Manilow in concert.
Silver hoop earrings – Nothing beats the simplicity. Perfect with jeans, a shift, a cocktail dress, shorts and a T-shirt, swimsuit.
I’m Not Really a Waitress – not OPI’s most popular shade for nothin’. My dream job is to be a nail polish color namer.
Good Luck Charlie – I admittedly watch this even when my kids aren’t around.
Slipper socks – I can’t have enough pairs. Deal calls them “slocks.”
Smoked buffalo mozzarella cheese – I get it from Capri Flavors, a local Italian market. It’s a good thing the market isn’t closer to my house.
Play-Doh – So many vivid colors!
Movie theater candy – Sour Patch Kids, malted milk balls, Goobers, Milk Duds, Twizzlers!
Born boots – The perfect marriage of comfort and style? I’m in. I’ve been coveting Jacey.
L’Occitane hand cream – Positively decadent.

Favorites: Chocolate covered raisins; Southern Comfort egg nog; strong legs on a long bike ride; slipping in behind my warm wife between cold sheets; hearing my grandkids yell “Papa” when they see me coming.
