Puttin’ on the Ritz for Mercy for America’s Children

Ilinap · January 15, 2013 ·

Just before Christmas, my friend Stacy wrote about her commitment to Mercy for America’s Children. She serves on the board, and as a teacher and a mother, she has special perspective on the hearts and minds of children. I applaud her contribution to our community every single day. Mercy for America’s Children is about to host its biggest fundraiser of the year, and the organization, the children, need us. If you are in the Triangle area (or want to travel here!), get gussied up and come out for a great cause. Of course, if you are not in the Triangle, you can always donate.

Tickets are on sale now, but going quickly! Mercy for America’s Children, a local non-profit that works to find forever families for children in the foster care system, is hosting its biggest event of the year. I just love that term “forever families.” On February 23rd, join us for our “Puttin’ on the Ritz” gala! Who doesn’t love a gala?! There will be a live band, dancing, silent auction with great items, food, beer, and wine. Check out the website for more information about this event and to purchase tickets. It promises to be a great time! Even better…the organization is 100% volunteer run, so every penny you spend goes straight to supporting children in the foster care system.
