Punchy Christmas Eve – 5:00 Fridays

Merry Christmas! I’m a tish frazzled since I’m entertaining today. Loads of friends will be milling around the bar table to bring on the Christmas cheer. While they’re getting into the holiday spirit, I’ll be serving some holiday spirits.

Here’s what will be at my bar tonight.

Punchy Christmas Eve

Cranberry juice

Pomegranate juice

Orange juice

Sprite

Triple Sec

Ginger vodka (Skyy here)

pomegranate seeds (optional)

Grab yourself a big ol’ punch bowl (circa 1964 would be way cool). Pour in 3 liters of cranberry juice, a half liter of pomegranate juice, about 2 cups of orange juice, and half a liter of Sprite. Stir gently. Add sliced oranges. I froze some pomegranate seeds into ice molds to add a special touch. I serve the punch virgin so the kidlets can drink some holiday cheer too. I place the triple sec and ginger vodka on the side for adults to consume as they wish (a shot of each added to the punch makes for a great Christmas cooler.).
