So hot I’m burning out.

Ilinap · June 15, 2010 ·

I’ll be taking a little social media break later this month. I need to get off the keyboard and back into full fledged 4D reality for a bit. This will be part catharsis, part test.

I need to focus on some work, the kind that pays better than blogging. I need to hang out with Bird and Deal while they are out of school for the summer, especially since my days are numbered before Deal starts kindergarten. I need to be a better wife who can actually have a full conversation with Mac Daddy without a laptop between us. Hell, I even need to be a better dog mom to Lark. It seems that everyone is neglected these days. Myself included. I’m not disappearing. I’m just talking about a few weeks to regroup, priorotize, and breathe. Deeply. I’ll be counting my blessings too, with an abacus. I just want to unplug and live in the din of Internet silence for a while. Call it a virtual breather.

Besides, my thumbs are both sprained. I blame the keyboard. It’s not like I’ve been hitchhiking.

I might pop into Twitter and Facebook here and there if the mood strikes. But for the most part, I’ll fade away for a bit in the next couple weeks. Nothing mysterious, though I’ve always wanted to be an international woman of mystery. I’m just going back to life as Mom, Sweetie, Ilina for a bit. A short bit. Until I’m chomping at the bit to be back online.

I can’t stay away for too long, lest I start twitching. Better to tweet than to twitch.

I’ve managed lately to stay offline for the better part of the weekends, and it’s awesome. I’m thinking about adding nights to that as well — after tonight of course.

I’ll miss you, but completely understand the need for a few weeks of radio silence. Have fun being you!

With the exception of “here and there” most weekends (and now nights) are pretty much unplugged for me. I read a book this morning. Not a “Tribes” or a “Twitter Power” but an actual novel complete with drama. Now THERE’S a concept I was neglecting!

Enjoy, my Friend! See you on FB or Twitter from time to time.

Oh…and let’s actually walk the dogs at some point too. Sheesh! 🙂

I missss youuuuu Ilina. Come back soon! Honestly, I was just thinking: Where is Ilina? Then I thought you had unfriended me (but I think I would know that). Then I thought maybe you had unfollowed me, (but I would still read YOUR tweets). And then I decided to look you up and read your last blog entry, and then remembered that you are taking a little vacay. Well good for you. You are not missing much really. The Virtual World is much like a soap opera. You can take some time away, then tune back in and pick up about where you left off. Hope you’re having a fun summer.
