Like you, I haven't been able to talk much with the kids about Haiti. Ava knows the very basics, but that's all. She has a fear of earthquakes (?) and I don't want to exacerbate it.<br /><br />And, yes, it strikes me that I can protect her that easily--simply by not talking about it.
